Hey everyone~ Soooo... Kay and I decided it'd be fun to have little events and stuff for the holidays and other occasions. They won't be related to the main plot at all, and should be light little detours from what's really going on. Whether it be an alternate universe, another world, or simply an alien invasion or enemy that has gone out of hand, we want it to be special and creative. Excitedly, the first event that's going to transpire is the one that's closest to us... yep, you guessed it! A big, fun thread for Ole' Hallow's Eve. ;-) Though, trouble is, we're not quite sure what to do for it. We need to have some sort of mini-plot, a conflict that screams creepy or scary or ghoulish... and, yet, very Sailor Moon. This is where you all come in. Give us your ideas, your opinions, your imaginations! You contribute, and we'll take the best bits and we'll try to make it into a Halloween Event masterpiece~ So... with all that said... My idea was that a certain witch-like being is bored, and in order to entertain her, she chooses the interesting people of Earth, randomly taking them in their sleep and transporting them to her own little universe full of spooky woods and fainted voices. In this universe, she is able to manipulate the enviroment and create realities, create fears. She places the random people of Earth into her illusionary world, and manifests their greatest fears, making them come to life. The ones in the world, wake up in their pajames, in different places of the sppoky wood, and experiance their fears, only to think that it is some sort of nightmare because of all of the bizarreness -- their phobias and fears are chasing them, battling them, making them watch, and tormenting them. Until, of course, they realise that it's not a dream... they are only allowed to use a minority of their power, essentially weak attacks, each other, and what's in the world to their advantage... Of course, they're able to eventually break free and escape, but not right away, right? ;-) Anything to add on? Subtract? Any new ideas of your own? Suggestions? Anybody can reply... We'd love to hear from you!

I like the idea of this, but, a witch-like being sounds both cliche and very, very familiar (does Umineko ring a bell?) I think it would be more interesting if the being is an immortal(?) whimsical one and never deciding on a permanent form/appearance, for example, he/she could appear as something someone fears or perhaps a loved one and play mind games with someone -- example: the "loved one" killing him/herself (weapon to a fatal area, jumping off a building while waving/saying goodbye) in front of someone (like "Ikuko" front of Usagi or even "Kakyuu" in front of the Starlights).
How about we have more the one place instead of just the woods? Like we could more than one area as in have a large warehouse that is like a labyrinth, an abandoned mansion (or town or hotel or cruise ship), and maybe a creepy hospital. Of course, it would all take place in the Halloween board you created and the threads could look like this "(AREA) Thread Title" [without the quotation marks though] --> "(FOREST) don't make a sound" or "(HOSPITAL) WHERE IS THE PANIC BUTTON?!"
Instead of being just weakened ability-wise, how about some be weakened and others can't transform at all? or maybe they all can't transform at all and have to rely on each other (teamwork, book or street smarts, physical strength, etc.) and the area they're in (objects, visible escape routes, etc.)?
Also, how about having a sign-up and whoever signs up gets paired up randomly for a thread (via random number generator and maybe a minimum of two people and maximum of three/four people per thread) and characters are not with the people they're used to working with? Example: Yaten, Haruka, Karasu and Kotone (I randomly chose them from the accepted board and random number generator).

Oh wow. Tsuki can feel free to overrule me on this if she disagrees, but the illusion of a loved one killing themselves is a bit darker than at least my vision of how this should play out. I mean, that's actually really, really dark. Too dark for Sailor Moon, IMO. I don't think anything like that would take place in the original series, and we'd like to keep the spirit of it in tact. Yes, the manga is darker, but I don't know. That just seems too heavy for me. After all, we want this to be a bit less serious in than the main game. Far as I know, we won't be having any suicides in the RP. Now, seeing illusions of things they're afraid of is a perfectly plausible idea and more along the lines of what we were thinking of. Like using Usagi and Chibiusa as examples, they would see illusions of dentists, ghosts, etc. While Michiru might see sea cucumbers...? xD Not so sure about that one. If it's a canon, then you may have to do some extra research or, for characters like the Starlights that don't have as many details, use a little more creativity.
I like the suggestion of random pairings, it adds some variety and opens the door for some potentially interesting interactions~

okay, so, I guess I wasn't clear about something about the being and should've included this: the dying loved one was just an example of a mind game and he/she/it treats human lives as games so when it appears/disguises itself as a loved one about to die, it turns out to be a bluff (weapon looks realistic but is fake [example: realistic toy gun with a small flag that says bang when fired], jumping off to only reveal another platform below or it has a parachute) and the being just treats it as a joke and laughs at people's reactions. yes, this being is a very cruel being who likes to play with lives, play jokes (be it childish or just cruel) and pull the unwilling and unsuspecting into its games

I suppose the witch does sound too cliche'{though I do not familiarise with this Umeko you mention}. We could use an immortal being instead, and I like the idea of her shapeshifting into others' fears.
I'm also okay with having other areas instead of just woods. Forest, Hospital, "Doll House", Underground Labriyth, Another Planet, even?
That sounds good. Some could lose their powers, unable to transform at all, and those who can, can only use their weaker attacks and abilities.
With the sign-up.... you totally read my mind. XD
However, I may have to agree with Kay on this. Dying loved ones are a bit too morbid for the SM universe. Though, now that you've elaborated that they result in humourous and relieving fallacies.... we'll have to think on that a bit more, as I'm undecided about this one.
*Also, much to my mistake, I believe... we should go ahead and begin to come to a more solid conclusion about this event. We have three weeks... give or take a week or two in November as well to participate in the funess. Events were, or are, supposed to last a month in my view... and Halloween isn't far away, now that I think about it. It'd probably be best to plan events a month in advance from now on... I take full responsibility if too much planning for the Halloween thread hinders our chance to act it out. Which, hopefully, will not be the case! >.<

only thing I'm seeing Kay is if we do go with their fears Haruka's is watching Michiru die in front of her. Well that and failing her princess but more so Michiru's death.

for each thread for the event, how about a staff member starts it off and whichever staff member is responsible forthe thread describes the area as well? also maybe we should put a word count maximum as like 300 words max. and every now and then it s okay to go over. I used to put a max. of 200 words for my events and a time limit of 2 days (48 hours) after the last post for the next poster so event threads can have a faster pace to it because I think events that don't relate to a site's plot should be fast paced. if the next poster didn't post, then his or her turn is skipped.

It may be cool to go with their individual fears; Honoka can be eaten alive by spiders and Aoi would probably be watching Apate die.

uh yea not to fast paced because I work most days right now so I don't have time for anything to fast paced. Yea Ruka's greatest fear is losing Michiru or having to watch her die.

Okay.. so here is what we've got, then: - Immortal being taking citizens, senshi, anyone of Tokyo while they are snug in their beds or comfy in their couches, snagging them and transporting them into her world... where their fears, while typically illusionary or initally jesting, shall become real to them. There are many places that a character may be transported, four or five "rooms" or "areas" in which they awake and begin to experiance their outer phobias and most inner nightmares. Some characters capable of transforming and using the weaker portion of their powers, others... not at all. However, no one is alone in this world, and for every one person, there is at least two other people with them.
- This event shouldn't be too fast-paced, and should not involve in any actual killing, murder, or deaths. It may be Halloween, but its still for fun... and this is still Sailor Moon. ;-) A word count of 200/300 words is fine, however I feel like the Halloween event shouldn't have any particular posting order or be too fast-paced... as long as you're posting, and not double-posting or posting instantly after yourself, things should be okay... therefore, it shall be okay to skip turns. Members who's turns were skipped can catch up, and no one has to worry about any other limitations other than the word count.
- "Areas" will be a forest of some sort, a hospital, a doll-house, and... something that's yet to be decided{Let me know if you'd like to suggest something for the Fourth area}. Right now, we'll say that the last sector will be an undergound labyrinth. These are the places the characters will experiance their individual fears... no matter what they happen to be or how out of place the area they end up in is.
- Now, there are 13 characters at present who are able to participate in this{we're excluding Chaos, Eris, and the Generals}. In order to distinguish which three-four people are going to be in each thread, we'll have a sign-up in another thread in this board...
.... which, hopefully, should be posted soon. It is located here!
